Craft: What God loves
The first small share I have is actually something that I had planned months before this whole pandemic struck and got started Forgiveness Sunday. At my daughter's preschool they did a craft like this in the stairwell around Saint Valentine's day answering the question - What does it means to be a friend? Each child wrote an answer on a paper flower and stuck it on the vine. In our home we are trying each day for each of the non-toddlers to tell me something God loves and write it on a paper flower and then we stick it on our vine. The vine is just wrapping paper from delivery boxes taped to our wall and we have a pile of cut paper and markers in our prayer corner (see below pics).
Some of the things my children have recognized that God loves so far are:
Sweetness, telling the truth, when we don't judge our brothers and sisters, hugs and kisses, prayer, gentleness, saying sorry, praying for the sick and the dead, generosity, when we say hi looking at someone in the eyes, kindness, giving somebody help when they need it, saying sorry even if it was an accident, patience, when we do what someone else wants to do, when we do what someone else asks us to do, when we go to church, putting others before ourselves, sharing, when we listen to each other helping each other and when we let the other person have the bigger piece.
